P.S. to Multiples (Eagles)

Been busy this week, but did want to let everyone know what I found out about the eagles at the zoo. It is against Federal law to keep healthy eagles in captivity. The one eagle is blind in one eye and I forget what the problem is with the other one. But, I did want to let everyone know as it was disturbing to several people, not just me, about their being in captivity. It’s still sad, but it’s nice that they are being cared for while the public is able to enjoy them.

  1. That is what our zoo does too, it only takes eagles that can’t survive in the wild.

  2. They do serve a good purpose being in zoos. I get to see them in the wild but I am lucky. There are places here that eagles have recovered so well that they are wiping out other birds. Great blue heron rookeries are easy pickings along with others that thrived during the eagles’ decline.

  3. Thanks for the info on the eagles. I did not know that about eagles in captivity. Glad those two are somewhere they can be taken care of and live in peace.
