Silhouette-Mini Assignment

I have not yet gotten out and found a proper silhouette image that is backlit. I did manage to get this one taken with my my T1i-shutter speed 1/3200, f9, ISO800, with 300mm f4 lens with 1.4 converter. I’m missing the backlighting, but it is a silhouette. 🙂

  1. NO, you are not missing the backlighting…it is definitely lighter than the subject…this is very cool!

  2. Very pretty! I guess a silhouette doesn’t have to have a “glow” to be effective. And there is that horizontal streak of lighter area in the background that adds a lot to the photo. Anyway, I like it.

  3. Wonderful bokeh in this silhouette. This has kind of a mystical feeling to it.

  4. To me, that subtle gradient in the background is what makes this unique.

  5. I like the dark moodiness of the image.
